Support Camp Wapiyapi Events
During the year, Camp Wapiyapi hosts two events aimed at raising funds for camp. Without the wonderful community support at these annual events, Camp Wapiyapi wouldn’t be able to host to many deserving kids each summer. Please consider joining us at our next event. Trust us, they are a lot of fun.
A beautiful evening on September 23, 2016 with more than 200 friends raised nearly $50,000 to send children facing childhood cancer to Camp Wapiyapi.
Presented by Bagi Mechanical, the 3rd annual “Campfires & Cocktails” event in Denver featured a sit down dinner, live music, and both silent and live auctions. Parent Erin Anderson shared her family’s experience saying Camp Wapiyapi is truly “good medicine.” Guests enjoyed an impromptu performance of a camp song (with choreography!) by campers and staff.
In 2010, former board member, Anna Hansen, wanted to organize a bike ride that would benefit Camp Wapiyapi. Cycling for Wapiyapi was a huge success and has become a favorite summer event in Aspen. Its support is key in raising funds for Camp Wapiyapi.
The ride features Lance Armstrong and George Hincapie. The first half of the bike ride accommodates all biking levels. The ride starts in town and continues to Ashcroft followed by a more challenging (but beautiful) climb to the Maroon Bells. Later that evening guests enjoy cocktails and a beautiful dinner with a lively auction at a private home.
We are so grateful to the support we receive. We love what we do and we couldn’t do it without all of you. From the bottom of our heart, we thank you. Please check out the Friends of Wapiyapi.
